Sales/Application Engineer

  • Description:
    InPhenix has an immediate opening for an Optical Sales Application Engineer with a unique combination of technical competence and professional sales skills.

  • Responsibilities:
    The position, located and based in our Livermore, CA offices, will promote, sell and support optical amplifiers and light sources to medical, military, telecom and sensor customers. The ideal candidate should have experience providing multi-level customer support including optical applications engineering, quotations, product presentations and on-site visits. Up to 30% travel required.

  • Requirements:
    Minimum 5 years of high level sales and technical/engineering in optical components (lasers, light sources, active components) industry. Proven ability to cultivate and develop new markets. Must have strong consultative customer sales and technical support skills. Must be proactive and possess strong account management, presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Qualifications:
    Technical degrees, BS or higher in Optics, Physics with current knowledge of photonics, optics and optical devices.

Process Engineer(1)

  • Description:
    InPhenix has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer. The position is located and based in our Livermore, CA offices.

  • Responsibilities:
    The position, located and based in our Livermore, CA offices, will be responsible for development and trouble shooting for PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition), RIE (Reactive Ion Etching), wet etching and lithography for InP (Indium Phosphide) and GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) chip procedures. Technical assistance for the testing and pigtailing of optic fiber to the photonics device.

  • Qualifications:
    MS Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Optoelectronic Technology. Knowledge of fiberoptics alignment and GaAs and InP materials. Must have at least one year of experience.

Process Engineer(2)

  • Description:
    InPhenix has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer. The position is located and based in our Livermore, CA offices.

  • Responsibilities:
    The position, located and based in our Livermore, CA offices, will be responsible for the design and growth of active optical components such as SOA (semiconductor optical amplifiers), SLED (Superluminescent Light Emitting Diode), and semiconductor lasers using advanced MOCVD (metal-organic chemical vapor deposition) technology. Be proficient in laser simulation software, advanced MOCVD epitaxy, X-ray diffractometer, PL spectrometer, C-V profiling and SEM test technologies and chemical wet-etching.

  • Qualifications:
    MS Physics. 1 Year Experience. Knowledge of the structural design, material design, and analysis of InP and GaAs based opto-electronic devices.

Process Engineer(3)

  • Responsibilities:
    The position, located and based in our Livermore, CA offices, will be responsible for development for photo-lighography, PECVD(Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition), RIE (Reactive Ion Etching), chemical wet etching, metal deposition, sputtering and E-beam evaluation for InP (Indium Phosphide) and GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) chip procedures; troubleshoot on production line; help process development in support of new products as assigned; write process specifications and equipment operation specifications; perform quality control and yield analysis.

  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Physics and at least five year experience.

Lithography Operator/Technician

  • Description:
    InPhenix has an immediate opening for a Lithography Operator or Technician for III-V semiconductor process. The position is located and based in our Livermore, CA offices.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Working with lead engineer to do photolithography work for InP/GaAs wafer.
    • Participate in troubleshooting on production line.
    • Assist with process development in support of new products as assigned.
    • Write process specifications and equipment operation specifications.
    • Participate in quality control and yield analysis.

  • Requirements:

    • Experienced photolithography knowledge.
    • Experience with at least one or two of the following: metal deposition, sputtering and E-beam evaporation techniques.
    • Generate technical documentation and specifications for process and equipment.
    • Computer skill for word and excel file.
    • Work well within a team environment.

  • Qualifications:

    • Minimum Associate degree.
    • Experience in semiconductor processing is a bonus.

Opto-Electronics Engineer

  • Description:
    InPhenix has an immediate opening for an Opto-elctronics Engineer.

  • Responsibilities:
    The position, located and based in our Livermore, CA offices, will research and develop new integrated opto-electronic devices for medical, sensor and military applications.

  • Requirements:
    Experience with opto-electronic device design, manufacture, package and test. Must have good computer skills and software design experience and good working knowledge of clean rooms. Five or more years experience as optical engineer in semiconductor production fab experience. QA experience a plus.

  • Qualifications:
    MS in Physics or Optics or BS 5+ years hands on experience. Excellent communication skills.
