Delivering high, stable power across wide and ultra-wide bandwidths, Inphenix SLD Modules enable superior results for technologists in Optical Coherence Tomography, optical fiber-based interrogation, sensing, industrial metrology, and component testing. Superior image resolution is derived from SLD point spread function FWHM of less than 3.9 microns. This minimal coherence length empowers the medical specialist to make the most discerning and informed interpretation which, as always, remains at the fore of our design intent.

Embodiments of Inphenix SLD modules include single, dual and a multiplicity of cascaded configurations in compact OEM as well as Desktop sizes. Options include control via RS-232 and/or DB9 connectivity, continuous or fiber-adaptive interconnect, independent SLD power control, 5V DC or 110V/220V AC wall-power sourcing, and integral attachment within an OEM customer system or rack mountability.

Light Source Modules
Plug-and-Play readiness of Inphenix SLD Modules makes them ideal for the optical subsystem manufacturer. Compact and protected, they are easily mountable within the OEM’s own branded chassis. The integrated current driver and thermo-electric cooler are operable with supply of 5 Volts. The light output may be via continuous internal-to-external fiber or by optical fiber adapter for removable pigtail interconnectivity. Central wavelength windows of operability range from 720nm to 1630nm, delivering high power densities across wide FWHM bandwidths.

Wide Band Light Source Modules
In addition to the attributes of the above IPSDS modules, the wideband and ultra wideband IPSDW Modules are highly customizable. High output power distributed over FWHM exceeding 100nm is stably sustained over temperature. Various performance enhancing components may optionally be integrated, including couplers, isolators, splitters, attenuators, filters, independent power control of constituent SLDs and ancillary RF circuitry. Compounding the ultra-wide bandwidths of multi-device modules is a specialty of Inphenix, so please ask about our scalability of cascaded IPSDW modules.

Ultra Wide Band Light Source Instruments
Inphenix’s Desktop Light Source Modules feature wall-plug-and-play, affording RS-232 control of ultra wide FWHM bandwidth exceeding 150nm. LCD readout is standard, with availability of fail-safe mechanisms to satisfy FDA requirements. As with the above products, the IPSDM is at the pinnacle of service to the rigorous disciplines of biomedical imaging, optical coherence tomography, fiber optical sensing, CWDM/DWDM component testing and laboratory research.
